INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP
This type of membership shall be opened to any individual person and shall consist of:
- Five grades of Professional Members, namely:-
(i) Fellow
Any Any person who has rendered or is in a position to render conspicuous service to the Institute and the advancement of quality.
Admission to this is by invitation of the Board of Management and the number shall be limited.(
(ii) Senior Professional Member
A Professional Member who has served the Institute for more than eight (8) years, or who has
attained the age of fifty (50) years and above, shall be eligible for transfer to this grade upon
approval of the Board.
(iii) Professional Member
Any person who has an appropriate University degree or an academic or professional
qualification recognized by the Board of Management as evidence of adequate educational
attainment plus at least four (4) years of relevant experience shall be eligible to apply. Those
without academic or professional qualification but with ten (10) or more years of relevant
experience may also apply for consideration.
(iv) Associate Member
Any person who has an appropriate University degree or an academic or professional
qualification recognized by the Board of Management as evidence of adequate educational
attainment plus at least one (1) years of relevant experience shall be eligible to apply. Those
without academic or professional qualification but with five (5) or more years of relevant
experience may also apply for consideration.
Any Associate Member may apply to the Board of Management for admission into the grade of
Member when he/she has satisfied the necessary requirements.
(v) Honorary Fellow
Any person who has rendered or is in a position to render conspicuous service to the Institute
and the advancement of quality.
Admission to this grade is by invitation of the Board of Management and the number shall be
limited. Honorary Fellows shall have no voting rights.
This grade of Membership is exempted from Entrance Fee, Subscriptions and other dues.
- Two grades of Non-Professional Members, namely:-
i Affiliate Member
Any person who is interested in the profession or any allied field is eligible to be considered by
the Board of Management.
ii Student Member
Any bona fide student in a recognized University, College or Technical School, provided prior
approval is obtained from Vice-Chancellor or the Head of the School.
COMPANY MEMBERSHIP
This type of membership shall be opened to any Institutes, Companies, Government Departments, Agencies and Organizations who are interested in quality and/or share the same interest as the Institute. Members of this type of membership shall be hereafter designated “Company Members”.
Every application for membership accompanied with entrance fee and first annual subscription shall be forwarded to the Hon. Secretary who shall submit it to the Board of Management for approval. The Board of Management may at discretion reject any application without assigning any reason thereof.
Every applicant whose application has been approved shall be admitted as a member of the Institute and shall be entitled to the privileges and benefits of the membership.
A Company Member shall appoint a Representative to act on its behalf throughout the validity period of its membership.
